Further Information
These compostable direct thermal labels do not have a protective top coat. This is to ensure that the labels are non-toxic and are aligned with compostability requirements. A top coating helps prevents high sensitivity but it also prevents micro-organisms entering the material which are necessary for efficient composting. Be aware that the material may receive marks due to scuffing, abrasion, and handling.
Each individual component (facestock and adhesive) of these labels is compostable, the adhesive is also compatible with recycling. Label backing liners are not compostable, please re-use where appropriate.
PURE Labels compostable labels and adhesive are vegan and non-GMO. They do not contain harmful chemicals such as bisphenol (including BPA and over a dozen other derivatives), or phthalates.
We recommend testing in the type of environment and with expected use from start to finish to be certain the material meets all requirements and expectations before purchase.

Works great

One of the only compostable barcode stickers I could find; these are a fantastic addition to Compostable product bags. They don’t work with Dymo or Seiko printers, but work perfectly with my Sato printer; and would likely work with compatibly sized Zebra, Datamax, Intermac, etc.

“Not Designed for Anything”
Posted by Unknown on 8th Mar 2021
Bought these for use on compostable product bags. The listing wasnt specific with which printers it works for so we bought them to try with our Dymo 4XL. They dont work. I called Pure Labels who redirect to their parent company, Elevate Packaging. I asked the customer service person what printers this might work on and was told the labels were not designed for anything; just an attempt to deal with offcuts and they do not recommend the labels to be used with any printers. So I’m just blindly trying them with different printers now. $70 later, they dont work with Seiko printers either. I think they might be a fine product if I can ever find a printer that works with them.
